For the past eight years, China has been the leading country for U.S. international adoptions. There are now approximately 70,000 Chinese adoptees being raised in the United States. Ninety-five percent of them are girls. Wo Ai Ni Mommy follows the Sadowsky family as they journey to China to adopt eight-year old Fang Sui Yong. This film provides an intimate and honest look into the struggles Sui Yong faces as she leaves behind her life in China to start her new life in America. Through this story, we witness the paradoxical losses and gains that are an inherent aspect of international adoption. Wo Ai Ni Mommy will have its U.S. television premiere in the fall of 2010 on PBS’s award-winning documentary program, POV. Ear Goo had the honor of working with Eye Wang Productions to create the original score for Wo Ai Ni Mommy.
